To Whom It May Concern

To Whom It May Concern

A Poem by Steven Hicks
"

I wrote this for one person in particular but it goes out to all that it applies too. In any way you can take it. Hence the title.

"

Sitting alone in darkness

Waiting to be held

Mind scrambling for answers

Wanting to be felt

Looking for the sunlight

Praying it will bring you

The darkness has overcome tomorrow

I have no idea if I can make it through

The words that give me life

Were not given today

And I've been encased in darkness

Searching for a way

I need to hear you say it

But you seem to choose not

So instead of doing what I want

I shall do what I believe I aught

I will wait

Through this endless night

In hopes the sun

Brings more than light

Because even if I could see

I don't know if I want to

Not unless I know

You're right in front of me

Wanting to be held

Just as much as I

Feeling without our other

We would as soon die

I pray with all I am

That you feel this too

Whenever the morning comes

I'll still love you

About
Well since this is a writing site I'll start with that. I became interested in writing while in the eighth grade writing fanfics of my favorite animes. Poetry became an interest later and that is no.. more..
