A Poet's RuseA Poem by Steven HicksI wrote this with my more artistic friends in mind.Let me paint you a picture Please don't walk away I promise to be more vivid Than simple shades of grey
Greens and Yellows Reds and Blues I can offer Many hues
So take a seat And sit real still This kind of art Has its own will
My hand is guided By forces unseen Making permanent marks That can't be redeemed
When it comes time To reveal what I've done Even I must admit These words aren't quite as fun
But these ticks on this line Are all I've got Thank you for your time It was worth a shot © 2015 Steven Hicks |
