THE PAIN THAT COMES FROM TRUTH

THE PAIN THAT COMES FROM TRUTH

A Poem by The Raven King

she whispered something

sounded like the word

that means

THE PAIN THAT COMES FROM TRUTH

but i couldn't really tell

she repeated it over and over

louder and louder

but the louder she spoke

the less i heard

it was like a song

from childhood

sheet music found in a fire

moth eaten and bullet holed

time faded and age worn

the last remnants were carried off

accompanied by ash and wind
