reflection

reflection

A Poem by The Raven King

Reflection

the tame lake

holds my reflection

my dark eyes staring

into me

tinged blue

eyes as deep

as the lake i fall

into eyes too soft and too big

a pale aura surrounds them

solidifies into a face

a woman’s face

embraced by hair

thick and dark and

rich red as devil’s blood

she rises from the water

the crimson ringlets cling

to her ample curves

red algae on white porcelain

her eyes looking through me

a stubborn blue.  a complete blue

I dive into them and I drown

as she buries herself alive in mine

she holds out her hand

i take it

my feet lift from the earth

her feet lift from the water

the sea and land spreads

out beneath us

the sky is our domain

she was bound to the water

and I to the earth

there are no boundaries here

no gods no devils no fate

we are the writers of our own destiny

the compass for each others lost soul

and the answer to the weary tattered question

why…

these words whisper themself off the page, there is no need to shout such large secrets, it is quiet and intimate and stunning to watch unfold

lovely reading

this is beautiful. the imagery is amazing and vivid. you set a tranquil, soothing mood throughout the whole thing, like being hypnotized. very creative, reflective, and entrancing poem.

Why is always the question right? ^^ I liked it. Some places I was confused, but that was my fault. I reread it and it made sense. I hope I can have the pleasure of reading your newer work.

Its very good... I like how it isn't like a story where they say blue eyes, red hair, white skin... you showed it.... its a shame my eyesight can't read the font very well xD
