Reflection
the tame lake holds my reflection
my dark eyes staring into me tinged blue eyes as deep as the lake i fall into eyes too soft and too big
solidifies into a face a woman’s face embraced by hair thick and dark and rich red as devil’s blood
she rises from the water the crimson ringlets cling to her ample curves red algae on white porcelain her eyes looking through me
a stubborn blue. a complete blue I dive into them and I drown as she buries herself alive in mine
she holds out her hand i take it my feet lift from the earth her feet lift from the water the sea and land spreads out beneath us the sky is our domain
she was bound to the water and I to the earth
there are no boundaries here no gods no devils no fate we are the writers of our own destiny the compass for each others lost soul
and the answer to the weary tattered question
