Not of this worldA Poem by The Raven King
"Are your arms strong enough to comfort me Or your lips lush enough to feed me Are your eyes deep enough to quench me Or your voice enticing enough to drive the demons away and shame the angels into submission"
Can you begin to understand the artists' mind?
The man that would remove an ear write his words in his own blood or swallow poison
An impossible breed Impossible to understand Impossible to help Impossible to love Aliens here
With unwritten ever changing rules and hearts that begin in the pits of their souls Their words are strange, mad ramblings
Oh! to have someone really hear, to really see and feel, to truly understand. Though they may find love They are always alone
Can you understand reading a heart like a book Hearing music complete and whole and not being able to speak it except through crude instruments Seeing through the eye of a needle the myriad spectrums of the world A thousand universes a million worlds trillions upon trillions of souls swirling in one mind all with a story to tell
Seeing so much, but never comfortable in their own skin Seeing a stranger looking back at you in the mirror Strangers even to others of the same breed. For though they know their own Every insanity is as varied as the swirls on their fingerprints They only remind each other of just how strange and different they are
Inexplicable anomalies Forever lost Forever alone Dancing on the outskirts of humanity forever.
"Are your arms strong enough to comfort me or your lips lush enough to feed me Are your eyes deep enough to quench me or your voice enticing enough to drive the demons away and shame the angels into submission"
