A Poem by Vincent Maltese

I need you like the stars need ships to guide

Ever vigaliant in their duties; the stars stay true.

I need you like the evening dew needs the spring grass.

Asking ever so politly, if they could rest, for the night

I need you like the sun needs the shade.

Without who would she play hide and seek with?

I need you like a heart needs the soul.

and the soul needs its mate, because with out.

The world would lose its meaning.

No one should ever need someone else to define who they are inside. We should give our own lives meaning and definition . . . . yet, we all look for that one person who completes us. Fills the voids that somehow fill our beings. There actually some who really find that person!
Nicely written, my son.

So well expressed that one needs another and for more than just casual conversation. As far as i am concerned a warrior is in need of a true soul to hold and savor to justify life. Your words are well expressed and heartfelt.
