Things

A Poem by Creepy Swine Guy
"

Who knew !!

"
Tonka Toys, Bikes, Fishing Poles,
Making teams, Popularity, Dates.
Beautiful Girls, Good Schools,
Beautiful Women, Jobs, Cars ...

A life spent chasing and pursuing,
Only to find that happiness was
waiting for me to find it ...

Right on my front porch.

It's human nature to be selfish, and to want, want, WANT! Some of us never find the true meaning behind happiness, while us poor folks find it on the front porch, in the back yard around a campfire, or at the kitchen table sharing food and drink with family and friends.....

we keep searching for that "demon phantom" but all we ever truly need is right here in front of our face.

This is sweet and profound all at once. I like how the things describe the stages of life. And you DO love your front porch, but it's also a great metaphor.

Happiness and joy could be sitting comfortably on your front porch breathing in nature and its surroundings fulfilling the human spirit. Wonderful poem!
