Darkness

Darkness

A Poem by Creepy Swine Guy
"

Just a tiny poem that came to mind.

Fortunately, our eyes

Adjust to the darkness.
Sadly, so too do our souls.

This deserves better than Comic Sans. I saw the font, the three lines, and didn't expect much, I will admit. You surprised me though--rather pleasantly, I might add.

Though your display picture will likely haunt me in my sleep, I wanted to say that you managed to touch a nerve here, and with as few words as you used, that's a pretty remarkable thing. Well done.

I agree with V. Blake, this deserves better than Comic Sans. ;)

A very succinct look change, adjusting and life/society - a fine example of poetry. There's so much more I want to say about this, truly it's quite a stunning little poem and all the more effective for its brevity.

I agree with V. Blake: This poem deserves more than Comic Sans, because I, too, underestimated it. I was afraid it would be amateur work, which would've been disappointing considering how much I am liking your writing so far.
Whelp, short and sweet, right to the point, but if you look deeper, you see more. Here's my interpretation: fortunately, we adapt to the misfortunes in our lives, fortunately we move past it, fortunately, being human, somehow, we make it through, fortunately, luckily, with hope, we can get up off the ground.
The sadly, so do too our souls. Sadly, it still affects us, sadly, a piece of us is taken away. Sadly, that little hole or that little wound is always there, sadly, it shapes us and our futures. A tiny poem with big words.

Yes, and instead of wandering in the dark, I am left shielding my eyes from the light, as it shines so bright. So much said in with so little. I truly love pieces like this...

Great Write!

*hands creepy swine guy a torch*

It's a valid thought to put into a poem. You've done it well. Sadly, but well.
