In Sleep

In Sleep

A Poem by Creepy Swine Guy

In sleep, there are no
Gnawing carnal desires.
In sleep, there are no
Stabbing heartaches.
In sleep, there is no
Relentless hunger.
In sleep, there are no
Gut wrenching losses.
In sleep, there are no
Duplicitous people.
Perhaps I need a nap.

Wow. Honest and forthright. I feel such a sadness when I read this.

Lol, if only a nap helped. You sleep, you dream. You wake and everythings the same. This a really good though. I don't think I'd change anything about it. It's simplicity and tone are wonderful. Really enjoyed this.

very creative writing! it has a feeling of hopelessness and despair to it, but it does seem to offer a glimmer of hope that sleep will bring renewal.....
nicely written.

if you can wake up to it, those things are there in sleep, at least in mine...i'm happy for you that yours is peaceful...maybe if i run take a nap now, i can tune into your station...

and I guess you were as good as your word

I hope it was a good nap

I think sometimes there are carnal desires in sleep, they manifest as dreams
