A Whimper in the Darkness

A Whimper in the Darkness

A Poem by Creepy Swine Guy
"

Just a poem about missing a good friend.

"

I know you're out there, and though I seek the

comfort of your soft, sage words, I hear nothing.

Not even the haunting screeches of crickets
in the darkness.

"This too shall pass", I remind myself as I look

into the vast wasteland cluttered with lesser words.

I silently watch the virtual horizon and wait for
the return of the verbal current that brings
electricity to my days.

Yes, Blue Guy, life does go on, whether we like it or not. The days and nights are endless, and by this I am referring to enternity. Don't worry, you will catch up.
I have two groups of friends that I think about here, one, the ones that have deceased and are out there in the great vast of "whatever" waiting for us to come-along later. Two, those that are alive and well but something in life has made us bitter and/or distant and turned us away from one another. We live, but yet we are dead to each other. To me the "dead" dead ones are much less painful than the "living" dead ones.
This touched my heart and made me literally start thinking about the influence people have on our lives and what today will bring and better yet, what we will carry into tomorrow.

This is so beautifully written, and descriptive. It stirs deep feelings from within me. You describe the utter deafening silence of those we miss. WOW, amazing..........................

I like this...I like sage, soft words, I hear nothing. I like vast
Wasteland cluttered
With lesser words. I like, I silently watch the
Horizon and wait. Well anyway, I like it.
I know this feeling too.

No way...don't even confirm this is what I think it is. It's sad. :(

It does seem like a vast wasteland doesn't it? I love "lesser words"...it just seems to say it all.

I hope you find friend and comfort soon. You are such a steady friend, I hate to think that you are missing a word or a smiling face.
