Echoes

Echoes

A Poem by Creepy Swine Guy
"

Something that came to heart for some friends.

"

Put your head on

my shoulder and cry.

Let the acerbic tears fall.

Let them cut their swaths

through me to the place

where compassion lies.

Let them plunk into the

deepest pools of my mercy.

For I have cried away all of my

own tears and still I have room

to hold so many more.

Let the soft echoes of your

falling teardrops resonate in

me ... where they will fade

quietly away,

that you may find your peace.

such a unique and wonderful expression of friendship here. not just an offer of a shoulder, or a sympathetic ear, but to take another's tears within oneself, to in essence consume their sorrow and make it your own. all so they might set down the burden, leave it behind and move forward into the light. almost a self-sacrifice if you will, in the name of compassion. lovely write :)

This is very touching. It plucked at my heartstrings, enough to make me teary eyed. Very well done.

You definitely have a way with expressing your emotions.
This piece is so compassionate, I feel as if, I just receive and hug and a shoulder to cry on.

This is beautiful - the words are like a warm sweet hug along with the pat that holds you tighter when you cry on someone's shoulder. Very very nicely expressed. Tender

Jerry....I'll cry. You know I will. :) This is a wonderful thing to write for a friend. Such compassion in your heart. You are a dear man. And a wonderful, emotional writer. Yes, you read that right. ;) And I love the title. It fits perfectly. :)
