Minutes

Minutes

A Poem by Creepy Swine Guy
"

Tick Tock, Tick Tock.

"

We spend our
Time chasing fortunes.
Years spent in college
Or scratching and clawing
Up rungs of workplace ladders.

We spend our time
Amassing our fortunes
However large or small,
And then we struggle to
Decide how to spend them.

All the while,
The one commodity
That holds the most value
Streams through our
Fingers like sand.

You can save your
Dollars and your gold.
You can protect your possessions
But you cannot save
Your minutes.

Spend your minutes
Wisely. You can
Never get them back.
My father ran out

Of minutes last week.

What a lesson to be learned and shared. The loss of a father is tough to take - I lost mine last August and I asked myself the same question - where did the time go.... time I had hoped to spend much much differently. This is lovely in it's message and the bittersweet truth of making choices and having life make the decisions.....

This ending really just left me staring at the screen. It was unexpected. A piece that one can learn from and be inspired from.

Wow! I'm speechless. This is the oldest question in time, isn't it? I'm afraid I have nothing to say to this except that you have left me speechless.

That was very touching. I can't imagine what such a loss could feel like.
Time is so precious.
Beautifully written =]

Time goes

and will keep on going

but what happens during that time, what difference was made, that matters.

This is beautifully written and brings home a strong message.
Wisdom is won at a price that seems far to high. Thank you for sharing it freely with others.
And much love to you my friend.
