Time

Time

A Poem by Creepy Swine Guy
"

A moment of inspiration from a good friend. (With MP3 reading)

"

Time waits for no souls.

He just keeps rolling on

like Old Man River.

Sometimes he tumbles us

roughly over the jagged

rocks of his shallow rapids,

and sometimes he takes us

on a slow, leisurely drift

in the warm sunshine

past places so beautiful

that we never imagined

they even existed, let

alone daring to imagine

that we'd ever see them.

Our job is to survive the

rapids and then, to savor those

sweet, sweet, slow drifts.

This is very lovely Jerry. I can imagine all the subtleties of this. It's so fluid and moving. It makes me want to go to these places, or at least search them out. Is that you reading it aloud? *giggles* That's pretty neat! I've never heard a poem read aloud before. That made it even more wonderful. Nice job!

I like the way you shift the mood easily. When I read the first line, "Time waits for no souls", I was expecting something heavy. But, by the next line "he just keeps rollin' along" it becomes more laid back and easygoing. And you end on a sweet, note.

VERY NICE! Time waits for no souls.

I love the intro here first telling time won't wait then heading into what he does to us as we live our lives.

All the rocky places and the sweet places we experience as we walk though this life all lead back to time - who waits for no one.

We just need to live life to the best of our ability, and to, as you say

Our job is to survive the
Rapids and to savor those
Sweet sweet slow drifts.

Beautiful
