Oh those irresistable treats.

 

If you gazed upon a pastry,
that looked like Heaven's treat,
and you were very certain,
that pastry would be sweet.

If you raised this pastry
to your eager, lusting lips,
and took from it a single bite,
that made you feel quite sick,

would you taste this pastry,
upon the second sight?
Would you raise it to your lips,
and take another bite?

If you bit a second time,
and fell gravely ill again,
would you keep on tasting,
like you do with men?

Okay, I agree. We are idiots how about that.

NO, we would not continue tasting the pastry; but men are different.

We can't help but fall for their sweet words; especially one who knows our weaknesses so well. They know what to say every single time. They know how to play us like a fool. And we fall for it every single time. We love them, that is our fault. We give them, and they take. And we allow them to take everything without asking for anything in return. Will we ever learn? I highly doubt it. That is why we are women.

Its not that we are stupid; we believe in the good in people, especially the good in the men we love. When the man we love tells us they love us, we believe it. We want to believe that they are true, because we are romantics at heart. Deep inside we hope this time it will taste better.

Wow. I had to stop and think about this one. I like the clear beat it has. And when you get to the last line, its just a punch in the stomach. I'm really amazed by this one. It's wonderful. I don't think I can even put it into words.
