--- To Be Honest ---

--- To Be Honest ---

A Poem by Creepy Swine Guy

Do not stare at me, your jaw hung agape
when I tell you I don’t particularly like you.
I understand, this is something that jars you,
something you are unaccustomed to hearing.

But in truth, it makes perfect sense. Imagine
walking past a skin and bones Ethiopian,
the snarling of her swollen belly chasing away
the flies that circle the still-upright little corpse.

You walk past her, careful to be certain that
your plate of sumptuous pasta can be seen and
smelled. Perhaps you even wave it beneath her
hungry little nostrils, pull it away, and you eat.

Why on Earth would she like a person who,
mindlessly or otherwise, inflames her hunger?

Oh boy...your imagery becomes sharp with honesty. This is raw, warped and biting. But look what you did there..."Imagine
walking past a skin and bones Ethiopian,
the snarling of her swollen belly chasing away
the flies that circle the still-upright little corpse." Nice!
