A Letter From Hell

Just messin' with words

Some might say that the ninth letter is the
most powerful, but I would respectfully differ.
For we have power over the ninth. We are the
unquestioned masters of that ninth letter.
It can never hold us as helpless prisoners.

I would argue that the most powerful letter
is the twenty-fifth. The twenty-fifth letter has
been the driving force behind every scientific
breakthrough ever achieved, but it also has a
dark side.

This cruel letter follows catastrophe as if it had
pushed it onto us itself. It is the letter that we
desperately seek when at the deathbed of
our most dearly beloved.

It is the letter we seek at the unexplained close
or change of every love, relationship or friendship.

This God-forsaken letter has confounded us since
our species was blessed, or cursed, with the ability
to employ rational thought.

All too often that malevolent twenty-fifth letter
torments us in perpetuity with it's baleful silence.

Very clever. I had to stop and count the letters on my fingers.

But what about the 21st letter? Joined with the 9th and it is a powerful combination
