Though we have all been in the center of it, we never understand it from the outside.
We say foolish things like "Forget about her," or "Just let him go."
These things are said as if there is choice, as if we are not in the grasp of an avalanche, being swept down, not knowing which way is up, hardly able to breathe.
It was not meant to be, you'll get over it, God has other plans, he wasn't right for you and other such BS.
I rather like the directness of 'snap out of it'.
