What's her problem? Does she not see how very sweet you are? Expelled, you cling to her, refusing to let go. Gravity pulls at you but you are dense, and will not be easily torn from her. But in the end, you lie at ground, at her feet, a sticky, sheen of residue the only remnant of you.

Fabulous metaphor and the picture only added to the angst of your words. There are times that no matter how much we want something it is not to be and we are left with the residue of emotional puddles.

You could have just said, I am all of these things, but because we can feel the denseness, the unrelenting stickiness of sap...can visualize the residue at her feet it is so much more powerful.
