Found a cache of old words ... from a time long ago when I thought in rhymes ... some I don't completely hate.

Go away, please let me be
When I sleep, you're all I see.
Turn those eyes away from me
Let this poor old heart be free

Go away please leave my mind.
Let me sleep dear, please be kind.
Go away or hold me close
I've taken Cupid's "lethal dose"

Loose my mind, release my soul.
Free me from your deadly hold.
Go away, and rest my fears.
For, this can only end in tears.

Your rhyme and meter are perfection! I suppose one can overdose on love and I thought Cupid's lethal dose was pure brilliance. What a wonderfully fun poem to read about an affliction that has struck billions.
