Comfortable Silence

Comfortable Silence

A Poem by Creepy Swine Guy

Our silence needn't be awkward, for

there is joy in your mere presence,

contentment in just sharing your air.

We don't need to find words to fill any void.

Because with you, there is no void, no

reason to search awkwardly for words.

So sit ... share this space with me.

Quiet has never been any kind of sin.

Put your hand on mine and smile.

I'll remember that sunset, that

walk on the beach, that quiet dinner

or any one of a million quiet moments.

We don't need words and never have.

Just hold my hand and let me breathe your

air. Just sit with me and love me.

Comfortable silences can say so much! Like the subject of this poem very much. So much power in being together and just "being". That tells me a lot about a relationship, far more than words.

A true connection need no words, and as your title declares, there is comfort in silence, a space where just being will suffice. Beautifully written...

Swiney, I hereby declare that forever more your new moniker shall be fuzzy bunny guy. bury the pork bones and cheers to the rabbit! :) Now quit twitching your nose at me, and admit you have a soft spot a mile wide.

Loved this!
