The wait

The wait

A Poem by The Lioness

I’m sat here shaking, to my very core

Everything’s crashing down, I can’t take much more!

I guess I deserve it, for the things that I’ve done

When our hearts are on the line who can say they won?

Break the chords that binned us, tare the ribbons to shreds

Or haven’t I sunk low enough, that people turn their heads

Here is a daemon, whose nature is to maim

I may have committed the damning deed, but will I get the blame?
