ISON love.A Poem by The LarkThis was one the most intense relationships I had been in, around the time of comet ISON.
To
many, we must seem a frightful pair;
Caught in love’s comet, skidding past the sun, Admonished as an immature affair When passing others in our reckless run. But you and I are certain of the pace That love requires, just as comets know To trust their blazing paths above in space; Immune to all the auguries below. For many astral bodies have been brought To ruin by the long, gradual bend Of gravity that larger planets wrought When speed would liberate them from such end. Our love, though sudden, is no falling star, We simply trust the rush in what we are. © 2014 The Lark |
