Paris....Dare we go there? Lets!A Story by Food MorselSeeing some wonderful site, finding a great place to eat and wishing...
When in Psris do as the Parisians do? Why not. So let's get going!
When you walk in Paris you will be drawn to the Eiffel Tower for many different reasons. One reason would be the famous massive structure. After all, it is one of the famous seven wonders of the world. Another might be the "58 Tower Restaurant" known for it's panoramic view while dining. Another reason? How about, "just because"!
Let's make a reservation for a fabulous meal of a lifetime and a trip down the Seine River. Making a new memory to last us a lifetime.
Looking up at the massive structure that lies before me, my mind reels at the sight of the Eiffel Tower. It stands at 984 feet or 300 meters. Including the television antenna it measures 1,052 feet. It consists of 18,038 pieces of steel. Since it was constructed in 1889, this was quit a feat to accomplish in that era.
This wonder of the world can be seen all over Paris. The Eiffel Tower is twice as high as the Washington Monument, twice the height of the dome of Saint Peter's Church in Rome and twice the height of the pyramid of Giza in Egypt. Wow, and to think we're standing underneath this absolutely wonderful structure of 1889.
So, let's go inside and have ourselves a Parisian dinner of a lifetime. The menu looks heavenly.
Spring Salad Roasted Chicken Breast Fillet with Port Cremesauce Opera with Vanilla Custard (Almond cake with Coffee Buttercream and Chocolate Ganache) 1/4 bottle of wine per person, red, white or rose' Mineral Water included.
Now that we have had a fabulous dinner, let's complete our evening with a romantic voyage down the Seine River, shall we?
The Seine River flows through the center of Paris and is the main artery of the city of Light. This truly one of Europe's most enchanting rivers as it flows through the storybook landscapes and vinyards, historic abbey's, Norman Castles, tranquil orchards, and medevil towns. We will see the beauty of the Versailles, and the picturesque Honfleur and discover the Alabaster coast. After seeing all of this my nind can't hardly absorb everything I have seen. I am so glad we brought our camera with us so we can look back and remember the fantastic time we had while here in Paris.
I am exhausted but way too excited to sleep. So I will sit out on the veranda with my espresso and decadant pastry and just bask in the sunset.
Sweet dreams till we meet on our next adventure.
