Static

A Poem by Thatch

The only way to see is to not look at all
With your face facing forward, and back to the wall
I see your intentions by the smile on your face
A deafening grin for my finger to trace
Please tell me, what are you expecting to find
A summertime twist and a lavender shine?
I'll bookmark your photo away in my thoughts
But first I must clear away all of these knots
They strangle the mind and clutter my brain
A pot made of clay filling up with fresh rain
To wash over your face and drip down to your lips
Your teeth with their whispering, glistening tips
So how is it that someone who's practically blind
Is carelessly wandering through my mind?

I felt this one, like your choice for rhyme and rhythm make me feel the hurt in this piece. I like that contrast, it's written rhymey like it should be a nice sweet piece but it checks you into reality. I enjoyed this.
Try maybe messing around with the format? my eyes got lost in the big hunk of text.
But otherwise, I'm excited to read your other work!
