World's Sorrow

World's Sorrow

A Poem by YoungWriter

This world is coming to an end,
Wars break out causing destruction.
Violence is a rule beginning to bend.
Causing rallies and such to become an eruption...

They all begin to gather and protest..
Specifically about the wrongs and the rights.
They all turn into suspects,
As for they cause the fights.

Six people injured.
Five people dead.
A sniper came out of nowhere,
And shot himself in the head.

Three were taken into custody,
Caught trying to flee the scene.
A woman and two men.
They've been interrogated and put on the screen.

It was done because of racism.
Two black men shot in twenty-four hours...
It was all caught on video..
No matter how hard they fought, they did not have the powers.

They struggled and tried,
Only to be shot in the chest..
They lived and died,
Their souls being put to rest.

The cops of course were white,
Making it even a bigger thing..
They then began to fright,
As for it was a giant social gathering.

They should have feared the worst outcome.
Their own had shot a man.
Their motto is "shoot to kill, not to injure"
They protect us by doing what they can.

But I do not believe it was right.
For they did not deserve,
To be shot on spot and drop to the floor
Which was waiting for them and reserved...

Although it happened for a reason..
Which only they will know..
It'll go to their grave with them,
As the world's sorrow continues to grow.

YoungWriter
You've most likely guessed it. It was based on the Dallas shooting from recently. It expresses my point of view from it all.
