Colors

A Poem by YoungWriter

why spend Sunday's wasted for God?
here's my thought in a rap for all of y'all

••••••••••••••••••

what happened to the old fashioned black and white
I forgot, there was a huge fight

ever heard of the KKK?
I have and there's still people like that today

why judge someone by the color of their skin?
you act Godly but you're committing a sin

you have no right to judge
a slight push shouldn't make you budge

why go overboard over this pointless thing?
because you thought you heard the Angels sing

you thought they were signaling you to go
you thought they were letting you know

you thought they gave you the right to kill
but in the end, all you did was steal

you stole a life that could've been lived to the fullest
you stole a life that didn't deserve all this cruelness

you went with your own opinion and did the opposite of what you were told
you went with your own opinion thinking that it was extremely bold

you were wrong and God is always right
you acted like you had it, but he's always only had the sight

you're blind and didn't see
you committed a sin and are no longer free

you asked for forgiveness
you prayed on your knees
he gave you what you wanted
so now I ask God please

let these people feel the wrath of your glory
let them hear about your biblical story

they think living with a different color is terrible
you had much worse and still cared to be able

Jesus died on the cross to forgive you and I
but you're wasting his life and not sustaining by

you disrespect his thought
the only thing you've brought
is hurt and grief
now all you need in you is Jesus and belief

he believes in you so why not believe in him
because the last I recall he died for all your sins

they weren't his to abide for
you were the one that he still does adore

he took stones to the hand and face
but in the end you were such a disgrace

you were selfish and rude
some might even say you acted as a prude

I've gone all religious to tell you how it is
so yes I do believe that all the Sunday's are his
