How Do You Do?

How Do You Do?

A Poem by YoungWriter

why...
is what I plead
I see you love again....
only to fall, hurt, and bleed

your heart turned cold
I did what I could to unfold...
I tried to tell you that I'm sold..

I'm sold...
you waltzed in to have eyes as brown as the leaves...
you waltzed in making me shiver in sleeves

I looked at you and instantly knew...
that's it. I'm over and through
my heart instantly grew..
there was nothing more I could do,
but I still couldn't have you..

i tried and tried again
only to fail and have no more love within

I gave up eventually..
thinking you didn't love me
you confessed that you did...
unconditionally

you'd been holding back from a previous break..
you'd been holding back for only my sake..
you'd been holding back so that I couldn't take...
something that only you could make

your heart grew at our first meet
my hazel eyes gazing upon the crowd
you went against your will to stop a repeat....
but all you heard was your heart beating loud

you approached me trying to catch my attention
but turned around...
leaving me in suspension

now as I speak is all metaphoric
it's all in a way you say.... rhetoric

we've never met in person
but I know that I love you..
saying this made everything worsen,
but I extend my hand saying... how do you do?
