Obfuscate

A Poem by Makayla
"

Someone that I used to know.

"

You confuse me with your look, even the way you act

You didn’t used to be like this - that’s surely a fact

I want the old you back, you’re really being confusing

At first it was funny, but now it’s not so amusing

We used to be good friends, what happened there?

Now you only call me short, and you’re starting to swear

I wonder where the old you went, I really want him back

Maybe he doesn’t exist anymore, maybe you’re just not keeping track

You confuse me with your look, even the way you act

You didn’t used to be like this - that’s surely a fact.

I would change the first use of the word confusing to avoid the duplication. I like it better the second time you use it. I think you expressed it well when you said "Someone I used to know"

I loved this piece. It is terrible when people become strangers to us. They change who they are and we cant understand why. I can relate to the feelings in this piece as I have had someone I loved become someone I never thought they could be. This was a great write.
