The Love Thief

The Love Thief

A Poem by Carson Scott
"

A poem about an upset man because he discovered that his love was with someone else.

"
I was sitting beside the street, then a young man sat next to me.
When this gentleman took a seat, he looked down sadly at his feet.

In his hands he carried roses, all very fragile without thorns.
Sadly sighing at his defeat, holding back his tears of mourning.

He reached in his pocket soon after, then he took out a ring.
I said in humorous laughter, "You got flowers for me?"

He shook his head and cracked a grin, "These were for my beautiful Lynn.
I saw her with another man". "I will find that jerk" I said, than as far as I could I ran! Should have known she had a boyfriend.
