Pace Yourself

Pace Yourself

A Poem by ThatPeculiarGirl :3

Pace yourself young child
You wouldn't want to grow up to fast
Because when you're my age
All you will want is the past
Pace yourself young child
Your life is easy now
A stolen crayon, a missing shoe
falling off your bike,
and getting a "boo boo"
Because when you are my age
It's drama lies and tears
not being popular becomes your biggest fear
Pace yourself young child
I know you want to fall in love
Now you cant comprehend
How you wont be able to stand
Loves eternal curse
Pace yourself young child
But who am I to say?
For I myself am still a child to this day!
Not in my looks, but in my heart
Never the less
Pace yourself young child
Don't make my same mistakes
Love your life, be content in youth
A little patience, dear, is all it takes.

If we only knew then what we know now.. Childhood goes by in an instant.. We all wanted to grow up so fast.. I enjoyed this.. Rose
