Introduction (A.K.A. Shikoba’s one and only chapter)

This right here is Ray Freaking Towns and he is having one of the worst days that any resident of Logansport, Indiana can have. Now I am not the best of narrators but I’ll give this my best try. My friend Wade promised me $60 if I agreed to add some lines here and their although he said that if I used a word wrong he would cut it by ten dollars. The guy has no faith in me, its like he doesn’t even know who I am. Well you don’t either but that’s besides the point, this isn’t my story anyways, its Wade’s- I mean Ray’s.

As I was saying, Ray Towns has had an extremely awful day, life really but let’s focus on today. So Towns boy here was walking to work this morning because Logansport has the coolest river in the whole freaking world, Eel River. Now Ray isn’t much for aesthetics but man, when it’s 6 am and he’s passing that little church on IN-25 across from the gas station it is one of the most breathtaking things he has ever seen. The walk there was definitely the best part of Ray’s job at Peter’s. There is no other way to describe Peter’s other than that if White Castle and Denny’s had a love child they would have named it Peter and dumped it in the middle of sorta nowhere because some how they both lost the court case.

Ray didn’t really mind working at Peter’s, in this day and age work was work and money was money. Now don’t get me wrong, this was not what Ray wanted to do in life- it was more of a stepping ladder to get across a tightrope that would lead him to a slightly taller stepping ladder that goes to a slightly higher tightrope. No, his real plan was to be a librarian. That’s right, a librarian- the person who works with books and whatever else they work with at libraries. Don’t feel bad if you laughed, I laughed at Wade too when he told me. Like, there’s nothing wrong with being a librarian it's just that it isn’t the first aspiration I picture a protagonist to have. Each their own I guess.

Man, I suck at being a narrator. This is like the bottom of the first page and all you know about the main character is his name is Ray Freaking Towns and he lives in Logansport, Indiana. Let’s see, have I said anything else? Hmm… having worst day… Eel River… Peter’s… I guess I can add a few more character descriptions- Wade pre-approved of course. For all you curious bachelors and bachelorettes, Ray is currently a single, 19 year old, college enrolled dork-but-not-that-dork-dork who can make a substance that somewhat resembles coffee if put in the right lighting, person. Well Ray just got to work so I guess I’ll let Wade take over the writing portion- have fun.
