a mortal question

a mortal question

A Poem by Thanzeh
"

This poem delves into the profound themes of mortality, struggle, and the quest for meaning in the human experience. It reflects on the inevitable cycle of life and death,

"
The blood we bloom from,
The Earth we made from
Alone we come,
Alone we go.

The life of man,
The death of man:
Sorrow, struggle, sins;
Strengthen the sword of perseverance.

Oh, Creator! For what do we live?
For what do we die?
To be slaves of our obsession?

Bound to our rule;
May it be the emperor
Or a humble slave?

None shall know longevity;
For he is a slave
A slave who is a slave.

In this cycle unbroken,
What can be freedom?
