Goodbye

Goodbye

A Poem by Thanatos96
"

Life or Death. Do we mourn the passing, or envy their release?

"
I'm tired of this town
I can't stand these people
I feel I might drown
If I have to keep on

It's time to move ahead
See some new faces
But my feet are lead
So why haste this?

Here are all my friends
Driving me forward
There are all enemies
Holding me back

I can't live to stay
I couldn't stay to live.
But I die to leave here
Yet if I leave I will die.

Life here is over for me
You never would see
Too many memories here
So now it's goodbye, my dear.

Wish me good luck with this
This escapade I seek
My hands are in fists
And my hopes are meek

Yet I must press on,
To paths yet untrod,
Maybe I'll live before the end,
So here I say goodbye, my friend.
