A Woman as Lovely as the Seasons

A Woman as Lovely as the Seasons

A Poem by Thanatos96
"

Written in love, and for love, yet lost long ago.

"
She is as the Sky on a fair Summer day;
Cloudless and clear while naught but
Joy is carried on the voice of the wind.

She is as a Lake on a cool Spring morning;
Cool and dangerous at first touch,
But then she embraces you warmly and lovingly.

She is as the Air on a brisk Winter evening;
Cold and cruel at the earliest impression,
But then you see the snow and realize the dawn has yet to break.

She is as a Tree on an Autumn twilight;
All her leaves have fallen off and the sun has gone down,
But through it all she is relentless and continues on...

Thanatos96
Written several years ago. Inspiration was gained through the seasons and a friend's guitar playing. The subject was someone I loved.
