Dottrar Evange, The Fallen Paladin:

*Human. Male. 57yo.

*57yo. 6’10. Broad build. Bright blue heavy armour with white trim and black veins. Fully enclosed helm (no openings), blue with white spirals and black veins.

*High stamina. Strong. Three forms.

-Blue, combat and enhancement magic. High offence (short range teleports, STR and speed buffs. Judgement is a 2h battle-axe with electric energy.

-White, defensive and holy magic. Very high defence (position tether, damage absorb/ reflect). Judgment is a lance that emits gravitational shockwaves when struck or striking.

-Black, shadow and poison magic. High magic (life drain, shadow chains, enchant weapon/ armour with poison). Judgement is a chain with a blade at either end, absorbs shadows, changes length, responds to mental command.

*Predictable; changes form depending on light he’s exposed to; Blue in artificial or magical light; White in natural or holy light; Black in darkness or near dark magic. Cannot influence the change.

-Blue is fast and strong, purely physical and close range. Vulnerable to ranged and magical attacks.

-White is tough but slow, very little offensive power but heavily impacts environment.

-Black is vulnerable to physical attacks, and cannot be active in direct light other than dark magic.

*Lucifer’s Judgement armour and weapon.

*Hunts dangerous creatures/entities, hoping to be set free from his armour so he can rest in peace with his wife and children.

*Lonely and tortured in spirit, Dottrar Evange comes across as generally straightforward and honest. He is intelligent and aware, but when fighting relies solely on his instincts and the habits born of long practice within his forms.

[Backstory: A Templar Commander of the Last Crusade, he led his squad into an old temple under the streets of Jerusalem. Here he came across a suit of armour kneeling before a statue of a strange, hunched creature. Upon touching the suit he passed out, and when he came to he was wearing the armour, with his unit mere scraps of metal and meat strewn around him and the word ‘Feed’ written in blood on the floor.

While he was still in shock, he watched as his wife, son and daughter were torn apart over their dinner while saying grace, a blasphemy that nearly broke him.

Unable to kill himself due to the armour’s influence and his own ideals, and having to watch his family die whenever he was not fighting, he began his hunt for foes strong enough to end his existence, destroy the armour and send his tortured soul to rest].

Author's Note

A Modern Hippy
Another favourite, but for a slightly different reason. This character has a lot of space for internal conflicts and battles, and a lot of potential personalities to deal with them. Heavily versatile and easily adaptable to a myriad of different eras, genres and styles.
The backstories of ALL character concepts are fully revisable or replaceable. They are simply examples.
