Galdur, The Arm of Yggdrasil:

*Ent. Male. Minimum ~3billion yo (as old as the earth?).

*4’5. Thin humanoid. Smooth blue-green bark covered by translucent, colour-changing fur (colour only visible in the dark, soft glow).

*Very strong. Changes height, width and wood qualities (increasing flexibility/strength). Highly intelligent. Emotionally sensitive. Slowly regenerates all wounds. Can produce numerous useful substances from his body. Immune to natural flame and poisons. Can consume and emit vast quantities of energy (usually sound/light).

*Altering form takes large amounts of energy. Slow regeneration is not much help in a battle. Averse to killing, usually leaves opponents unconscious.

-After sustaining enough damage to form, goes into dormant state. Tougher. Immobile. Incapable of communication. Can be prevented or prematurely ended with sufficient energy input, as he absorbs energy to regenerate but cannot release it without becoming active again.

*No equipment.

*Dissatisfied with the human race’s care of Earth, searches for a figurehead/spokesperson for the planet to set the humans back on track.

*Slow to anger on his own account but quick to defend others. Sensitive to the feelings of other organisms and his environment. Active and aware of his surrounding. Fully capable of reacting to situations rapidly and efficiently. Enjoys the action of fighting and contest, though he avoids killing whenever possible.

[Backstory: According to Norse mythology, there are numerous different worlds and planes.  These worlds are held together by an entity they called Yggdrasil, the World Tree. The Ents, or tree folk, are pieces of Yggdrasil that are given life by the mixing of the planar magic of the Tree and the localised magic of one of the worlds, creating an Ent-ity unique to that world. The exception to this rule are the Messenger Ents. These Ents are created purely from the magic of Yggdrasil. All Ents are capable of traveling between the worlds, but most of them prefer to remain in the worlds they were made from, that being where they are strongest. Of course, the Messenger Ents are again an exception, being tied only to the World Tree, and not to any world in particular. They are tied only to Yggdrasil itself, and are the only creatures that can go to or take other organisms to the World Tree itself.

Galdur is an Ent of Earth, and being only as old as the young earth, is still relatively young by Ent standards. However, even in his short life he has set himself apart from many of his brethren in his energy and enthusiasm, and almost all the other Ents agree that these features that make him so hard for Entkind to deal with also make him perfectly suited to the unusually active and constantly changing Earth, especially when coupled with the strange human race that lives there.

He has been asked to cooperate with the Arak ‘Fay representative Ker’Velik in attempting to locate and study the Fae enigma Kagra'Fam].

Author's Note

A Modern Hippy
Another cliche, but this time I put a bit of effort into making it a little different from the standard 'Entkind' or 'Treeman', the classic being Treebeard from J.R.R Tolkien's 'The Lord Of The Rings' trilogy.
The backstories of ALL character concepts are fully revisable or replaceable. They are simply examples.
