Fargri Obura, The Last Unborn:

*Goblin. Not applicable. 162yo.

*5’3 feet, dark green skin, blue eyes. Sharp nose, short tusks and sharp teeth. Clawed hands and feet. Yellow tattoos like teeth, chains and thorns covering its body and shaved head.

*Cunning, intelligent. Vicious in battle. Agile. Releases poisonous gas from its body which rusts metal, corrodes magical energy and inhibits regenerative abilities. Overexposure can cause unconsciousness and eventually death. Claws and teeth/tusks cause easily infected wounds and inhibit regeneration. Uses a blackmetal curved sword and buckler that absorb magic they touch and inhibit regeneration. Blood is poisonous, corrosive to metals and magic. Becomes increasingly berserk as it bleeds (can ignore incapacitating and potentially fatal wounds, and increases strength and speed).

*No special regenerative powers. Weaker and slower than a fit human, approx STR and speed of a prizefighter when berserk. Gas no smell, but causes weapons to tarnish and blunt and magic to flicker and spark. When berserk, makes little effort to avoid damage.

*Blackmetal curved sword and buckler.

*Seeks the glory of battle and to rebuild its race.

*Highly intelligent (when not berserk) and a cunning strategist and tactician, Fargri is as much a thinker as a fighter, contrary to the stigma surrounding its kind. Short term, it finds joy in battle, in meeting, fighting and learning from new foes. Long term, however, it seeks to rebuild its race and find them a way to exist in peace.

[Backstory: Once servant to a powerful holy mage who raised him, he spent his first century of life learning to read, write and think. When his mentor and surrogate father was killed by a strange Fae creature, since identified as Kog’Saw, Fargri was told to leave his home and find somewhere new to live as there was a lot of opposition to having a goblin in a place of learning.

Taking the sword and shield forged and left to him by his late mentor, he left his home and began a journey to find a new home for himself, and a place that he could rebuild his race and teach them to be a valuable part of a world that saw them only as mindless tools].

Author's Note

A Modern Hippy
One of my favourites. He's fairly balanced, with a potential for very strong story presence and influence.
I admit to being incredibly partial to the 'underdogs' of classical fiction/fantasy writing, of which goblins are most definitely a member.
