A Poem by A Modern Hippy

There’s this thing, right, that tells me

when I’m losing my sight,

and helps me see my soul.

The

lonely nights are enough to make me cry.

In my heart lies a darker corner of the

pure

light that shades me when it’s all too bright,

and makes me

want to die.

My heart is tame, a resting

love

but without a name,

no form or face to match the frame,

and it begs the question why.

I feel so broken, without a cause,

I’m just a token that

someone

draws, I don’t understand

so I will just deny

.

Cheers. One of my better pieces, for sure. :)
