Hallowe'en LoveA Poem by TexasTook me about thirty minutes to write this poem. Contests are good. They make me write. :)We exchanged our vows on this day. Just us two with five to witness.
You told me you had a secrect, Locked deep within your soul. You said I didn't have to love you, But my love for you, no secret could bend or break.
Now it is our wedding night, I place myself into your care. Then you tell me you dark secret. That I am human and you are vampire. I didn't care.
I held you in my arms so tight, Not wanting to let you go from my sight. Then I felt your lips upon my neck, One quick pierce and then a warm liquid.
Is this what they call ecstacy? Blinded by love, blinded by passion, Memories of the rest, forever locked away.
When I wake, It is night of next day. I reach for your face, And kiss you lips. And taste your blood that kills this hunger.
We hold each other oh so tight, Not wanting to escape the other's sight. As we show all the saints the sin and ecstacy of our true love.
