Nature's Morning BeautyA Poem by TexasThis one is also inspired by my nature landscape drawing.See the Sun meet the pines, As he rises from night's deep sleep. The Stars give way to white-gray clouds, As the Moon slowly fades to white transparent in a sky of blue. The Mountain stream has turned to a golden hue, Away from night's dark blue. Bright yellow is the Sun who brings skies of blue, Brings the cricket's song, Brings the bird's voice, To fill this day's morning landscape with hope and life. Here I lie, BeNeath the Sun, Near the mountain lake on my mountain's side. Here I lie, Next to the cat-tails, weeds and grass, As the Wind combs my hair with gentle ease. Here I lie, Watching the Moon fade, Yielding to the day. Here I lie, Watching the Sun silently break the night. Here I lie, The Wind gently flowing. Here I lie, In Nature's arms so dear and warm, In Nature's morning beauty. © 2011 TexasAuthor's Note
