Kangaroo Court

Kangaroo Court

A Poem by Tevo77777
"

A free-verse poem on how I feel.

"

I wish this citrus hurt

It's just to sweet

No it's not even that

It's just a little of both

Nothing but food really

I just feel really uninterested

Would rather not repeat

Some song where people

Just yell the word pain

And then feel so numb

I've been processing

Or at least trying to

Still can't spend more

Then a half hour or so

With just myself

Been busy blindfolding

Every fantasy I can find

Put them all against a wall

Just go through the motions

As I scatter their blood

Didn't want to make myself

A empty and decaying place

But it was this or my wishes

Would put you in shadows

So I put them all down

You said I am not evil

So now it's a proven fact

It's a law chiseled down

That's who you are to me

I just want you to be happy

Author's Note

Tevo77777
The metaphor was about execution. Putting down meant like a dog.

I'm basically making myself feel empty, because I am afraid of being filled with envy or greed.

About
I used to read a lot of good novels and now I just read raw information that I use for my writing. I take inspiration from the pain that I feel, some joy as well; but most of the bright pictures .. more..
