A Letter To A Friend

A Letter To A Friend

A Poem by Terry
"

Sometimes they just need to hear it said and it can mean the difference between having them and losing them forever.

"

To my Dearest most valuable Friend,

To my Greatest Ally,

To you who keeps my head calm

Through the Booming, Bludgeoning Sea of life

It’s MY Turn,

I Can See It in YOUR EYES.

I’m far too familiar with your charades.

Cry on my shoulder

Lament for your Listener

Speak Softly So Sound  Should Shake

It’s rude approach to our conversations

I would not spare my conscious for

Those Guilded in Gold

If it meant my Ears be far

From your torn soul

But I will push the hair from your face

Wipe the tears from your eyes

Listen for a while and repeat when your

Ducts are so moved to produce more across Aphrodite’s pride

But if you are so inclined

Have me move the heavens with a single stride

Have me produce the sun

Where the Rain Runs wild

For I do not work hard

For just anyone I view

But I work my hardest

So that you can see the true beauty

And Your Necessity in this world around you.

Sincerely,

A Caring, Worried, Faithful Friend
