A funny poem for a contest. I feel as long as you express yourself you can make amazing pieces with the tools you are given.

Meters and prose

And Meters and rhyme

What should I do to write this time

Hurry the rules define me so

Oh wait, oh MY! Oh no Oh NO!

What have I done, in the trash you go!

I’ll trade out the best!

For words and rules!

That go with the flow,

What interesting tools!

So find me shakespeare,

I’ve Sonnets to write!

Find me the Juggler,

A Sestina seems nice.

But when you feel what you write

And write what you feel

Your mind can make beautiful 

Lyrics to a tune of life! 

That will (hopefully) hit your audience right.

We’ll sing of the birds,

Such wonderful things!

We’ll laugh at the colors,

And tales of Kings!

We’ll feel the strife,

Of a glorious knight!

Maybe watch the trees?

As they rustle to life

To write right,

Imagine the character’s life!

Is it stumped like a tree?

Or as free as free as a bird can be?

If I write my haiku

Seasons are true

If I write for a few

Prose a joke for me and you!

But when you feel what you write

And write what you feel

Your mind can make beautiful
