I Guess.

I Guess.

A Poem by Terry Collett
"

A man dresses up in his wife's clothes for the last time.

"

I guess that's it, huh?
no more wearing

the wife's new clothes,
Don said sadly,

no more trying on
those dresses she gets

from that shop
on the high street,

no more pulling on
those panties and tights

when she's out
with her friends at nights.

I guess that's it,
no more dressing up

in her bikini
and doing the catwalk

along the hall
to the stares

of cat and dog,
Don sighed,

gazing at himself
in the mirror,

seeing baby Jojo
staring at him

from the cot;
that's it Jojo,

no more shows,
that's your lot.
