To Win.

To Win.

A Poem by Terry Collett
"

a youth hears his father's words on winning.

"

To win,

doesn’t matter,

father said,

it’s the taking part,

the guts to have a go,

the putting of the hand

to the darn thing,

not for the prize

or glory

or the winning post

or the world’s momentary din,

but for the decision

to get off your a*s

and take a stand or run,

let some other

take the glory

if they want

for having won.
