She Fainted.

She Fainted.

A Poem by Terry Collett
"

a girl swoons over a lover but her father is not impressed.

"

She fainted
at the mere mention

of his name, swooned,
her father said,

of the old school,
the guy’s a freak,

you want to see his face
in broad daylight,

he has more pits
on his features

than the moon,
but his daughter

still fainted
hearing his name,

still swooned
over the ugly goon.
