Smalls.

Smalls.

A Poem by Terry Collett
"

a woman has her smalls stolen from the washing line.

"

She hung her smalls
on the washing line:

panties, bras, pantyhose,
stockings, stays and suspenders,

pegging them there
with determination,

not knowing who
was thieving them

in broad daylight
right under her nose

wondering why
they didn’t go

steal some other
woman’s clothes.
