MARIO'S WIFE.A Poem by Terry CollettA MAN LUSTS AFTER HIS FRIEND'S WIFE.Lucia has beautiful eyes But you do not tell her You say nothing You watch her move Across the room Watch her hips and a*s sway You take stock of all this She is Mario’s wife She is the mother of his five children She is the goddess of the nightly dreams And you see her eyes shine By the candles on the table You wish she were yours To kiss and touch And feel in the morning The gentleness of her closeness The scent of her seeping into your flesh. Mario laughs He pats your back His huge hand hits you back To the friendship of his home You gather in your lust Like a fisher’s net Leaving just your thoughts To wander along her thighs And the beauty of her eyes. © 2011 Terry Collett |
