BRAINWASH.

BRAINWASH.

A Poem by Terry Collett
"

AN OLD AGENT TRIES TO TELL A JUNKY THE TRUTH OF THINGS.

"

Don’t let them fool you
Kid, because they’ll try,
Believe me they will,
And they’ll do all that

Over a certain
Period of time;
And because of that
You’ll think it must be

True because they’ve been
Saying it for so
Long that even your
Father believes what

They say and he has
Never been taken
In in his whole life
(At least so he thinks).

So be on your toes
Kid, be alert to
Their words and lies and
Don’t let them make you

Feel as if you’ve been
Wrong, because they can
Brainwash you as good
As any other

Government if not
Better, Bill says, but
The dumb kid isn’t
Really listening,

He’s touchy, got the
Itch (that w***e b***h) needs
A hit, needs to calm,
Needle in the arm.

Bill knows the score; knows
The kid’s brother, was
Once his gay lover.
Governments are just

The veneer; beneath
Are the dark agents,
The ones who kill, who
Inspire much fear.

The kid nods and half
Smiles as junkies do
And gazes at Bill
With closing eyes. Sleep

On, kid, Bill says, the
World will pass you by;
They’ll commit murder
In your name, in all

Places on the globe
And you’ll be taken
In as others are
And never told why.

Great wisdom in your words. I tell the kids to stand tall and fight for their rights. If you don't you will be like people being led to the slaughter house without a scream. The Government to downsize. Each day we lose more rights. I hope this generation listen to stories like your and the facts of real life. A outstanding poem.
