VIVALDI FREAK

VIVALDI FREAK

A Poem by Terry Collett
"

A CELLO PLAYER AND HER ADMIRER.

"

And apart from her
Beauty and her other
Charms, she is a wild

Vivaldi freak, especially
The Cello Concertos.
And when she plays,

The ear of the listener
Closes out all other
Sounds, to concentrate

All attention upon the
Sounds emitting from
The instrument she so

Engagingly plays. All
Her emotions, deep down
Feelings, all her joys and

Sadness, are sublimated
By her fingers, hands
And the instrument, into

Sounds that can pierce
The ear and heart of even
The most casual of listeners.

And it seems at times as
Though this isn’t a matter
Of player and instrument,

But that of fond lovers.
She entwines her fingers
So that the cello becomes

More than cello, becomes
Her secret lover, enraptured
Within her fingers and thighs.

And sitting there listening
You said, Oh that I was that
Cello that I might lay between

Those thighs and be lovingly
Touched by those soft and
Sensitive hands and fingers.
